Philadelphus coronarius – Mock Orange
A beautiful deciduous shrub with arching branches and masses of fragrant white flowers in late spring to early summer. The blossoms have a wonderful sweet, orange-blossom-like fragrance, making this an excellent choice for planting near pathways, patios or entrances.
Growing conditions:
Thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing, then moderately once established. Prune after flowering to maintain its shape and encourage fresh growth. A classic cottage-garden shrub that makes a lovely fragrant feature.
