Description

Fuzzy Bolivian Sage
Light: Thrives in full sun or partial shade. In warmer climates, it prefers some afternoon shade.
Soil: Prefers rich, moist, loamy, well-drained soil. It is adaptable but dislikes waterlogged conditions.
Watering: Prefers consistent moisture rather than extreme drought. Although it is relatively hardy, it performs best with regular watering during dry spells.
Temperature & Hardiness: Hardy to USDA Zones 8-12. In colder regions (Zone 8), it needs to be treated as a tender perennial or brought indoors for winter.
Fertilizing: Light feeding is sufficient. A balanced, slow-release fertilizer can be applied in spring, or a top dressing of compost can be added.
Spacing & Size: Spreads 2-3 ft. wide and grows 3-4 ft. tall.
Maintenance: Prune woody stems in spring. Deadheading (removing faded flowers) can encourage more blooms, though this plant is often grown for its fuzzy foliage too.
Usage Examples for Fuzzy Bolivian Sage
