Description
Light: Full sun to partial shade.
Water: Medium needs initially; moderately drought-tolerant once established (great for water-wise gardens, but it performs best with occasional watering during dry spells).
Soil: Well-draining (avoid heavy clay); it tolerates poorer soils but loves a bit of compost.
Hardiness: Frost-hardy down to around -5°C to -9°C (15–20°F), so it handles Cape winters well.
Uses: Excellent as a weed-suppressing groundcover, between stepping stones, spilling over walls/rocks, in rock gardens, borders, or even in pots/containers. It’s fast-growing, long-lived, and low-maintenance.
