Crassula capitella ‘Campfire’
A fiery splash of colour for rock gardens and containers
Light: Thrives in full sun to partial shade. Bright sunlight brings out its most intense red and orange tones.
Water: Low water needs. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can cause root rot.
Soil: Well-draining, sandy or succulent mix is ideal. Avoid heavy, water-retentive soils.
Climate: Drought-tolerant and heat-loving. Prefers mild winters and warm, dry conditions. Protect from heavy frost.
Growth Habit: A low-growing, spreading succulent with fleshy, pointed leaves that turn brilliant shades of red and orange in sun. Produces clusters of small white flowers in summer. Grows up to 15–30 cm tall and spreads about 30–60 cm.
Uses: Perfect for succulent beds, rock gardens, borders, and containers. Also striking in hanging baskets and as groundcover in dry landscapes.
Care Tip: Remove spent flower stalks and trim lightly to maintain shape. Feed with a diluted succulent fertilizer in spring and summer.
