Artemisia afra (African Wormwood)

Sunlight: Full sun to light shade.
Water: Water regularly while establishing, then only occasionally. Highly drought tolerant once established.

Growth: Fast-growing evergreen shrub reaching approximately 1–2 m tall.
Foliage: Soft, finely divided grey-green leaves with a distinctive aromatic scent.
Climate: Well suited to the Western Cape and thrives in windy, coastal, and dry conditions.
Uses: Excellent for indigenous, water-wise, and medicinal gardens. Also attractive to pollinators.
Maintenance: Prune lightly after flowering to keep the plant compact and encourage fresh growth.
