Alstroemeria (Peruvian Lily) – Growing Conditions

Light Requirements:
Alstroemeria thrives in full sun to partial shade. In hot climates, light afternoon shade helps prolong flowering and prevents heat stress.

Soil Needs:
Well-draining, fertile soil is essential. Alstroemeria prefers a slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0–7.0). Add compost or organic matter to improve soil structure.

Watering:
Water regularly to keep the soil moist, especially during dry periods. Avoid waterlogged conditions, which may cause root rot.

Temperature & Climate:
Grows best in mild to warm climates. Protect from frost and extreme heat. In cooler areas, mulch to protect roots during winter.
