The Staghorn Fern is a striking, epiphytic fern known for its dramatic, antler-like fronds and sculptural beauty. A true conversation piece, it thrives mounted on boards, in hanging baskets, or nestled in tree branches—perfect for bringing lush, tropical vibes indoors or into shaded garden spaces.

🪴 Key Features:

Foliage: Two types of fronds – basal fronds (shield-like, brown or green) and fertile fronds (long, forked, “antler-like”).

Growth Habit: Clumping, with the ability to grow quite large over time.

Display: Often mounted on wood or grown in hanging baskets.

☀️ Growing Conditions:

Requirement Details

Light Bright, indirect light. Avoid harsh, direct sun. Dappled shade outdoors.
Water Water when dry – soak or mist thoroughly. Allow to dry between watering. More frequent watering in summer.
Humidity Prefers high humidity. Mist regularly if indoors.
Temperature Warm and frost-free (10–27°C). Protect from cold drafts.
Feeding Monthly with diluted liquid fertilizer during growing season. Avoid fertilizing the shield fronds directly.
