Description:
Foxglove is a striking biennial or short-lived perennial known for its tall spikes of tubular, bell-shaped flowers in shades of pink, purple, white, and cream. A favorite in cottage gardens and borders, it attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Light:
Prefers partial shade to full sun. Performs best with morning sun and some afternoon shade, especially in hot climates.
Soil:
Grows best in well-draining, rich soil enriched with compost or organic matter. Avoid waterlogged conditions.
Water:
Keep soil consistently moist, especially during active growth and flowering. Do not allow to dry out completely.
Temperature:
Thrives in cool to mild conditions. Tolerates light frost but dislikes extreme heat.
Fertilizer:
Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring for strong growth and vibrant blooms.
