Description
🌼 Dipladenia Citrine Yellow – Growing Conditions
Sunlight:
Performs best in full sun to partial shade. At least 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily is recommended for abundant flowering. Light afternoon shade is beneficial in very hot climates.
Watering:
Water regularly, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as soggy soil can lead to root rot. Reduce watering during cooler months.
Soil:
Prefers well-draining, fertile soil enriched with organic matter. A quality potting mix with added perlite or sand is ideal for container planting.
Temperature:
A warm-climate plant that thrives in temperatures between 18–30 °C. Protect from frost and cold winds. Suitable for containers that can be moved indoors in colder regions.
Feeding:
Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced or flowering fertiliser to promote continuous blooms. Reduce feeding in winter.
Growth Habit:
Compact and bushy with a slight climbing habit. Can be grown as a patio plant, hanging basket, or trained on a small trellis.
Maintenance:
Low maintenance. Light pruning in early spring encourages bushier growth and more flowers.
Ideal Uses:
Perfect for containers, balconies, patios, borders, and sunny garden spaces.
