Buddleja davidii – Growing Conditions
Sunlight:
Full sun is essential for best growth and flowering. Requires at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
Watering:
Water regularly during the establishment phase. Once established, Buddleja davidii is drought tolerant and prefers moderate watering. Avoid waterlogged soil.
Soil:
Thrives in well-drained soil. Tolerates a wide range of soil types, including sandy and poor soils, but performs best in fertile, loamy soil.
Growth Habit & Size:
A fast-growing, deciduous shrub with an upright, arching habit. Typically reaches 2–4 m tall and 2–3 m wide, depending on variety and pruning.
