Description
Bougainvillea thrives in warm climates with plenty of sunlight. In the Western Cape, it’s important to ensure well-draining soil and adequate sunlight exposure. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging the soil. Bougainvillea also benefits from occasional pruning to encourage new growth and maintain shape. While it can tolerate some wind, it’s best to provide some shelter from strong winds, especially during storms.
