Description
Misty blueberries are early to mid-season cultivars known for their excellent flavor and firm texture. They produce medium-sized berries that are sweet and slightly tart, making them versatile for fresh eating, baking, or freezing.
Blueberries thrive in the Western Cape with acidic soil (pH 4.5-5.5), full sun, and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Adequate watering, especially during fruit development, and protection from strong winds are essential. Pruning for airflow and disease prevention, along with mulching to retain moisture and suppress weeds, are also beneficial.
