Light Requirements
Thrives in bright, filtered light. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves. Performs well indoors near an east- or north-facing window.
Watering
Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy. Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Reduce watering slightly in winter.
Humidity
Prefers high humidity (60%+). Mist regularly, use a pebble tray, or place near a humidifier for best results.
Temperature
Ideal temperature range is 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts, sudden drops in temperature, and frost.
Soil
Grow in a light, airy, and well-draining mix. A blend of potting soil with added bark, coco peat, and perlite/ pumice works best.
Fertilising
Feed every 4 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser diluted to half strength. Pause feeding in winter.
Growth Habit
A striking tropical plant with tall zebra-patterned stems and arrow-shaped leaves. Moderate growth rate when kept warm and humid.
