🌱 Alocasia gageana ‘California’ – Dwarf Elephant Ear
A compact and striking tropical plant with bold, heart-shaped leaves. Perfect for gardens, patios, or as a feature plant in large pots.
Growing Conditions:
- Light: Bright, indirect light outdoors or filtered sun. Can tolerate morning sun but avoid harsh midday sun.
- Water: Keep soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Loves humidity.
- Soil: Rich, well-draining soil with added organic matter.
- Temperature: Thrives in warm climates; protect from frost. Best in temperatures above 15°C.
- Fertiliser: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser.
- Height & Spread: Grows up to 1.5–2 m tall with a 1–1.5 m spread.
Care Tip: Regular misting or placing near water features will keep leaves lush and healthy. Remove old leaves to encourage new growth.
