Growing Conditions
SUNLIGHT
Full sun to partial shade; best colouration develops in full sun
WATERING
Moderate watering during establishment, then drought-tolerant once established. Water deeply every 7-10 days in summer, less in winter
SOIL TYPE
Well-drained soil; tolerates poor, sandy, or clay soils. Prefers slightly acidic to neutral pH
TEMPERATURE
-5°C to 35°C; frost-hardy and heat-tolerant once established
HUMIDITY
Adaptable to varying humidity levels; no special requirements
FERTILISING
Light application of slow-release balanced fertiliser once in early spring; avoid over-fertilising as this reduces the coppery colouration
