Coffee Arabica (Coffea arabica)
Grow your own gourmet coffee with this elegant evergreen shrub!

Coffee Arabica is prized for its rich flavor and aromatic beans, making it a must-have for coffee enthusiasts. With its glossy green leaves and fragrant white blossoms, this plant is as ornamental as it is productive. Perfect for indoor growing or in a protected garden space, this tropical plant brings a touch of the exotic to your home.

Growing Tips

Sunlight: Coffee Arabica thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid harsh, direct sun that can scorch its leaves.

Soil: Plant in well-draining, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter. A mix of peat, sand, and loam works well.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but never waterlogged. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.

Temperature: Prefers warm temperatures (15°C – 24°C). Protect from frost and cold drafts.

Humidity: High humidity is essential. Mist the plant regularly or use a humidifier to mimic its natural tropical environment.

Fertilizing: Feed with a balanced fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season (spring to early autumn).

Care Tips

Pruning: Trim back leggy growth to encourage a bushier shape.

Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years as the plant grows, using fresh potting mix to keep the soil healthy.

Harvesting: In ideal conditions, your Coffee Arabica can start producing fruit within 3-5 years. Pick the ripe cherries when they turn red, and enjoy the process of roasting your own beans!

Coffee Arabica is not only a productive plant but also a conversation starter, ideal for plant collectors and coffee lovers alike.
